Aleksandr Sanin
Aleksandr Sanin was a Russian and Soviet actor, director, and pedagogue. He began his career in theater, working with the Moscow Art Theatre and later transitioning to film. Sanin directed the silent film Polikushka (1919), based on Leo Tolstoy's novella, which is considered a significant work in early Russian cinema. He was also a respected acting teacher, influencing a generation of Russian performers.
